ROME - The melon is the absolute protagonist for June and July of the communication campaign launched by OrtoFrutta Italia, which avails itself of the patronage of the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies with the aim of promoting Italian fruit and vegetable products according to the seasonal calendar. So, after strawberries, tomatoes and cherries, in June and July it is the turn of the melon, while July and August will be characterized by peaches and nectarines.
"I greet with great interest the promotion and communication campaign launched by the Interprofessional Organization Ortofrutta Italia which invites consumers to buy our seasonal products and at the same time disseminates useful information, for a deeper knowledge", said the Minister of Agricultural Policies, Teresa Bellanova.
"After the one dedicated in recent months to strawberries, tomatoes and cherries - he added - I hope that this one too has just started on melon with the involvement of the entire national sector together with thousands of stores in the main distribution chains and many shops specialized and proximity, intrigues and convinces our consumers to buy and consume our fruit and vegetables.
