(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, JUNE 12 - Donald Trump has retweeted the images of the removal of another statue of Christopher Columbus in front of the Minnesota parliament in St. Paul, in the wake of the protests after the death of George Floyd in the 'twin city' Minneapolis.
    In a twitter he shares the comments of an American commentator: "sculpted by an Italian immigrant who helped build the Grand Central Station and his son, given as a gift during the Great Depression as a symbol of the acceptance of Italian immigrants in Minnesota". Trump has always celebrated Columbus and criticized the demolition or removal of his statues, as well as those confederate.
