Those who have missed cinema for three months will be able to catch up. And not just a little. To date, 43 films have been announced on the two days of Monday June 22, the date of the reopening of the French cinemas, closed since mid-March, and Wednesday 24, the traditional day for cinema releases. Never seen. Why such a profusion? Because there will exceptionally have to coexist with novelties and films already released in February or March, before the start of confinement.

Distributors of films like "The Good Wife", "A Son" or "Radioactive", released on March 11, could not do anything against the brutal career stop of their feature films which did not hold the poster only three days before the cinemas close due to the Covid-19 epidemic. During confinement, the idea, accepted by the exhibitors, germinated so that these works were given priority to come out as soon as they resumed.

They were soon joined by others, who had left a little earlier (like "Invisible Man"), or who were due to go out on March 18 (like "Benni"). Added to this are new features, hence the incredible rush expected on the screens on the 22nd and 24th. It's up to you, knowing that you will have to take precautions: one seat out of two unoccupied, seat reservations at the 'advance, fewer sessions due to disinfection of the premises between each screening: welcome to the post-deconfinement cinema.

THE FILMS OF JUNE 22

Reversals

"The Good Wife" .Released on March 11, this pretty comedy with Juliette Binoche and Noémie Lvovsky tells the throes of a patroness of a "housewife school" in the 1960s, at the turn of modernity. She was off to a big box office success…

"Invisible Man" . In this new version of "The Invisible Man", released on February 26, Elisabeth Moss struggles against her former lover, declared dead but whom she thinks is still alive and who takes advantage of her invisibility to track her down. Signed by Australian Leigh Whannell, the film succeeds in thrilling the spectators, while capturing the spirit of the times.

"De Gaulle" . It is Lambert Wilson who embodies the general in this fiction dedicated to him and which was released on March 4. Makeup and fitted with prostheses, the actor physically resembles his character. But if he chose to adopt his phrasing, he does not imitate the timbre of his voice. A disconcerting bias, and which does not manage to save a film which runs out of steam quickly.

"Ducobu 3". Directed and interpreted by Elie Semoun, the third part of the adventures of the pupil Ducobu puts him in the grip of a rival. The scenario is pleasant. As for the energy displayed by Elie Semoun in his character of hysterico-psychorigid teacher (and who also embodies his own tyrannical mother), it testifies to an effective work of clown which sincerely deserves an excellent note.
