The Russian championship restarts today after a three-month stop for the coronavrus emergency but before even taking the field there is controversy between Sochi and Rostov who will face each other in the afternoon with the 'decimated' guests for six covid-19 cases and the whole quarantined team. Rostov at first gave the go-ahead for the dispute of the meeting but this morning, on the club website, a petition was published asking the Sochi to postpone the meeting as a sign of "solidarity" while right on the Sochi website was confirmed that the meeting will be held. In order not to miss the game, Rostov will send the youth team to the field. Yesterday, the Russian Football Federation had proposed to postpone the game until July 19, but this requires the agreement of the two teams. Sochi is fighting not to retreat and does not seem in favor of postponement while Rosto, currently fourth in the standings, is in progress for a placement in the Champions League area.
