Vanessa Bryant , widow of Kobe Bryant , used her Instagram account to share with her followers Snoop Dogg's "beautiful tribute" to the late Los Angeles Lakers star.
And, during the recent ESPYs , the rapper performed an emotional theme dedicated to Kobe, while images of the basketball player on the court and several of the impressive murals that have been dedicated to the athlete who, along with his daughter Gianna and 7 other people, lost their lives last January, during a helicopter accident.
"Let's do it Mamba-style," is how ESPN had announced the tribute Dogg would pay to the NBA legend.
"From one LA legend to another, it disappeared very soon," the sports network posted on its own Instagram account.

"You beat the odds by a mile / All sandy with no smile / A new golden boy / Let's do it mamba-style," Snoop Dogg is heard saying in the video Vanessa posted on her social profile.
During the ESPY Awards 2020 , which were held on Sunday night, this tribute was paid to Kobe Bryant, almost five months after his unfortunate death.
The award ceremony was held remotely, due to the current coronavirus pandemic. "A friend and leader, understandably. And you did it frankly," Snoop Dogg said of the late sports star. "Your reign in the city prevails ... greatness in your name," he added, saying Kobe was LA's "X-factor"
During his career, Bryant received countless ESPY awards, and in this, the first year in which the sports world does not have him, it was impossible not to recognize his great legacy again.

Before what happened in the ESPYs, during the celebration of Father's Day, Vanessa Bryant remembered her husband, whom she called "the best dad in the world".
"We miss you so much. We love you forever," wrote the woman signing on behalf of the four daughters she had with the athlete, Nani (Natalia), Gigi (Gianna), BB (Bianka Bella) and Koko (Capri).
Along with her tender message, Vanessa published a photo of the memory in which Kobe is very smiling, celebrating with her girls.
This is the first time that the three daughters who survive Bryant celebrate this special date without the presence of their father.

The whole of 2020 has been peculiar to the Kobe Bryant family, because in the midst of their mourning, they have tried to smile and embrace the love they have, on special dates.
For example, the smallest in the house, just turned one year old, and Vanessa organized a celebration for Capri, at home, and with a fabulous cake.
Last month, Gigi would have been 14, and Kobe's widow dedicated an emotional message to her late daughter.

In April, Vanessa Bryant and her daughters celebrated the first Easter without Kobe and Gianna, and they also tried to put above all the love they have, because that is what keeps them strong, after the loss of the two members of his family.
Also in April, Vanessa and Kobe would have celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary, and without missing the date, she dedicated an emotional message to who was the love of her life.
