(ANSA) - ROME, JUNE 23 - From Paolo Sorrentino to Ladj Ly deiMiserabili, from Pablo Larrain to Kristen Stewart, to Naomi Kawase: these and others are the excellent names of Homemade, the collection of shorts, announced today by Netflix, created by celebrity filmmakers from all over the world.
Confined home to the pandemic caused by the Coronavirus, these directors tell personal and moving stories that capture our collective experience of life in quarantine. Produced by The Apartment Pictures, part of the Fremantle group, and Fabula, Homemade is a "celebration of the mastery and craftsmanship of film art, as well as the enduring power of creativity in the face of a global pandemic". The shorts were made using only equipment found at home, while the stories vary from directors' daily life diaries to short fantasy stories and range in a variety of genres, offering a slow magnification on how the lockdown has affected several avoid countries throughout the world. Lorenzo Mieli, CEO of The Apartment, eJuan de Dios Larraín and Pablo Larraín of Fabula have gathered filmmakers from all over the world to participate in this project. (HANDLE).
