The disturbance present on most of Europe which is already affecting the north east of Italy will reach the northern western regions in the next few hours, bringing rain and thunderstorms.
On the basis of available forecasts, the Department of Civil Protection has issued a weather alert which complements and extends that spread on Tuesday: from the early hours of today, widespread rainfall is expected, locally also very intense and accompanied by hailstorms, lightning and strong gusts of wind , on Piedmont and Lombardy, especially on the relative central-northern sectors. On the basis of the expected phenomena, the Department also assessed a yellow alert for thunderstorm risks over most of Piedmont and Lombardy.
