Migrants: 80 thousand regularization applications, growing

80,366 regularization applications were submitted in the first month of the procedure, which started on 1 June: 69,721 already completed and 10,645 in progress. The pace of requests, the Interior Ministry informs, is constantly growing. Domestic work and personal assistance represent 88% of the applications already completed (61,411) and 76% of those in progress (8,116). Lombardy first for requests submitted for domestic work and personal assistance and Campania for agriculture. The procedure will end on August 15th. 

Every day, according to the second report published today on the Viminale website, from June 1 over 2,650 applications for regularization of employment relationships have been submitted by employers to the portal of the Ministry of the Interior as part of the expected emergence procedure by law decree 34 of 19 May 2020 for the sectors of agriculture, domestic work and personal assistance.
    The daily trend of applications is constantly growing: on the opening day, June 1st, there were 870; Friday 30 June, the consolidated daily average of applications is 2,324.
    In the distribution of applications by country of origin of the worker, Morocco, Ukraine and Bangladesh rank first for domestic work and personal assistance; Albania, Morocco and India for agriculture and livestock.
    Out of 61,411 employers who have perfected the demand for regularization for the domestic sector, 45,730 are Italian (75% of the total). For the agricultural sector, 7,351 out of 8,310 employers are Italian (90%).
    From 1 to 29 June, 3,231 requests for temporary residence permits were submitted to post offices by foreign citizens pursuant to Article 103, paragraph 2, of the relaunch decree concerning holders of residence permits that expired on 31 October 2019.
