(ANSA) - PARMA, JULY 03 - In addition to the works of the Correggio, it will be a tribute to Maria Luigia of Habsburg, Duchess of Parma, and to the engraver Paolo Toschi but also a new large permanent exhibition space that will enrich the treasure of the National Gallery of the Pilotta of Parma: it is the exhibition 'The nineteenth century and the myth of Correggio', which will open in the complex of the National Gallery of La Pilotta on October 3, 2020.
The set-up also has a great architectural depth because finally the area of La Rocchetta will become an exhibition place for the Pilotta museum, an extremely important space from the historical point of view but up to now difficult to museum. The director of the Pilotta, Simone Verde, succeeded in opening it to the public. With 'The nineteenth century and the myth of Correggio' the visitor will find explained the meaning of the removal of the works from the sacred buildings from which they come and the artistic context of this invention.
