Young people killed, life sentence confirmed

(ANSA) - SASSARI, JUL 03 - Ergastolo confirmed for AlbertoCubeddu, the 24-year-old young man from Ozieri accused of the double murder of Gianluca Monni, 18 years of Orune, and StefanoMasala, of 27 of Nule, which occurred between 7 and 8 May 2015. The sentence was pronounced by the Sassari Assize Court of Appeal. The accused was in the classroom at the time of the reading of the boy but he did not bat an eyelid: on him the life imprisonment that freezes him as the person responsible for the two murders together with the cousin Enrico Pinna, a minor at the time of the events and already sentenced to twenty years in via final. A decision that was already expected, despite Cubeddu always professing himself innocent. The Court also confirmed the compensation to the civil parties: 50 thousand euros each for the three brothers and for the father of Masala, 50 thousand euros each for the parents and the brother of Monni, 20 thousand euros for the girlfriend of Gianluca and equally for an uncle from Masala, Francesco Dore.
