Vittoriale Italiani, 90-year Parlaggio project inaugurated

(ANSA) - MILAN, 04 JUL - "The completion of the amphitheater is an intervention to be proud of. In fact it represents a remarkable achievement from the historical and architectural, aesthetic and museum point of view, which enriches the immense Lombard cultural heritage". So the president of the Lombardy Region, Attilio Fontana, today in Gardone Riviera (Brescia), for the inauguration of the 'Parlaggio' of the 'Vittoriale degli Italiani'.
    "The 'Vittoriale' is a reference point not only for Italian iturists, but also a sought-after destination and particularly appreciated by visitors who come from all over the world to admire it - adds the Lombard governor - I am sure that with the return to normal this place will also return to be attended as before the 'lockdown'. For our part we are already on the field to reactivate in a strong and concrete way the attractiveness and, more generally, the economy of such beautiful and truly unique territories ".
    The roofing works of the 'Vittoriale' amphitheater - a convent of Veronese marble, according to the will of Gabrieled'Annunzio and in compliance with the original project of the 1930s, signed by the architect Giancarlo Maroni - were completed at the end thanks to the financial support made available from the Lombardy Region. The regional councilors for Culture, Tourism and Economic Development, Stefano Bruno Galli, LaraMagoni and Alessandro Mattinzoli also attended the inauguration. (HANDLE).
