Tamir Bar's hip-hop opera includes many artists full of subtitles with criticism of society and the country • Look for it online - it's gold

  • Perfect synchronization. From "The Rise and Fall of Shem Tov My Father"

It was only a matter of time before Tamir Bar would gather his friends, including prominent representatives in the Israeli hip-hop scene, for a joint project. But who could have imagined that he would execute an ambitious project like the superb hip-hop opera "The Rise and Fall of the Good Father's Name" (Heavy

For Those Who Don't Know Bar, he is a standupist, screenwriter and creator, and has produced quite a few videos here Bar, and anyone in the field appears in "Good Father's Name": Ravid Plotnik, Yishai Suissa, Michael Suissa, Jimbo Jay, Shekel, Lucc, Avraham Legasse and many others who don't have enough space to mention. Shorcim clubs and sweep them tens of thousands of people, but you will not hear the most Galgalatz or at other stations, because the mainstream as ungrudging and the content of most of the songs do not "dear" to the masses.

Bar, which is responsible for creating, wrote the words to the four songs which together with Plotnik, and The composer worked with the talented Yishai Suissa.

"Good Name My Father" tells the story of Adam Shem Tov, who came out of standard dental care (Meir Suissa plays the doctor), which included anesthesia and laughter, started singing on the street and discovered that his talent for singing was related to his previous dental care. He becomes a star everyone admires, but his friends take advantage of him and he finally faces a tax evasion and is jailed.

The length of "Shem Tov HaBabi" is a total of about 24 minutes, but you can't settle for a single viewing of this piece, and Bar's songs will stick to you at first hearing. Anyone who has seen Bar videos in the past knows that he is talented and has a very unique style, but who knew he would bring his writing and performance to such a level? The carelessness and casualness in his vibe that his character transmits are so precise that the groove and lyrics blend in perfect synchronization. Barr is the master of the word, but here it turns out to be a line-up with all his friends on the scene, and they fall short of it.

The work is filled with wonderful subtext with criticism of society and the state (about pensions, tycoons and more). In one section, for example, the rapper of Ethiopian Abraham's crude attire dressed in prison clothes and points to the doorway from which the detainees fled the prison, but the prison commander ignores him, and seeks other solutions.

• Ravid Plotnik: An album in slippers

"Shem Tov HaBabi" is very invested - at least it looks like this. Hart and Photography pick this production up, and it's all packed and fastened like one long clip. Beyond the messages and grooves that are spilling in from the screen, "My goodness my father" is insanely funny. Some of the scenes are completely delusional, and all of them have Bar's humorous fingerprint.

One should also say a good word to all the artists who have come and funded this project (it's unclear if they got paid, I guess not). It is beautiful that in a small scene that has quite a few ego wars and sometimes disjointed, the most criminal minds came in the field, and each put the ego aside and the talent in the hands of a bar.

And if you're still here, look for the "rise and fall of the good name of my father" online - it's gold.
