Asked by Jean-Jacques Bourdin about the nature of this aid, and more specifically about the advisability of proposing an exemption from charges, Jean Castex did not deny.
More than 700,000 young people are expected to enter the job market at the start of the school year. The Ministry of Labor has already made announcements to promote the integration of apprentices with assistance paid to companies in the amount of 5,000 euros for an apprentice minor and 8,000 euros if he is of full age.
Pensions negotiations to resume
The government intends to put the pension reform back on the negotiating table this summer. Wednesday morning, Jean Castex announced that he wanted to meet " all " social partners " before July 20 " on this particular issue, after having received separately Thursday 9 and Friday 10.
In particular, he wants to " reopen negotiations " on the universal aspect of the reform. “ It is a long-term job where you probably have to reopen the consultations. And then we have a shorter term subject which is the funding of the current system. On this subject, you know, there was already a financing conference, but there again, it is shed new light by the problems caused by the crisis, ”warned the Prime Minister.
Unemployment insurance reform paused
The government will however put aside another major reform: that of unemployment insurance. " It was made at a time when France had one of the lowest unemployment rates in Europe, in any case the one which had reaped the largest drop ", recalled Jean Castex, that is to say in a buoyant context where the government wanted to push the unemployed to find a job.

The job market has changed since then. " We will surely delay the implementation, said Jean Castex, confirming a position supported by the Minister of Labor of the previous government, Muriel Pénicaud. We do not renounce our principles, but we are not obtuse people, we look at what is happening. And the common thread is people's daily lives. So we adapt our tools to the realities in their interest ”.
