Corona continues to rise:  Ministerial Committee for Declaration of Restricted Area decided Tuesday (Tuesday) to impose a week-long closure on the ultra-Orthodox city, due to concerns over the outbreak of the Corona virus. The closure will be imposed starting tomorrow, Wednesday, July 8 at 8 a.m. to Wednesday, July 15 at 8 a.m. as well. Following the decision, exit and entry into the city will be restricted, and traffic and business activity in the city itself will be restricted.

Meanwhile, new data on the Corona eruption in Israel were published tonight. Since midnight, five people have died as a result of the virus - a figure that increases the number of those who have died from the disease so far to 342. The Ministry of Health also announced that today, 1,052 new patients were diagnosed in Israel and 4.8 percent of the 21,815 tests conducted today were positive. Altogether, there are 13,352 patients in Corona in Israel, of whom 86 are in serious condition and 34 are euthanized.

Earlier, the Ministry of Health announced that the municipality of Betar Illit intends to impose a closure on the city, following the increase in morbidity at the site. Mayor Meir Rubinstein attacked the decision and asked: "What will it do besides make us the incubator of the virus?

"In the first wave, we cooperated with the Home Front Command and were able to reduce the morbidity in the city with no closures and restrictions," the mayor continued. "Unfortunately, in the second wave, we find out that I have never seen anything like it ... I understand that the decision is due to show a committee "The Ministry of Health, which is experiencing a terrible failure in the second wave of treatment, is working to prevent infection and, through closure, seeks to mark itself.
