Just days after Bad Bunny made his debut in Playboy magazine , the Puerto Rican singer was admitted to the emergency hospital due to appendicitis for which he had to undergo surgery.
"Bad Bunny had emergency appendicitis surgery yesterday. That is why he was taken to the hospital in the afternoon. He is fine and is currently recovering in the hospital," the artist's press representative told Telemundo , without giving further details.
Several local media in Puerto Rico assured that this Thursday the singer was admitted to a Santurce hospital in San Juan.
As reported by the television program "Noticentro" of the WAPA network , Bad Bunny is in the Doctors Center hospital in the Puerto Rican capital, where he arrived at 13:30 local time and where an hour later he had to have an operation.

After Bad Bunny appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine in the middle of the coronavirus quarantine , with which he made history by becoming the first Latin singer of the urban genre to star on the cover of the mythical magazine, the interpreter disappeared from social networks.
His recent appearance in Playboy magazine caused a furor with his fans, who had not heard from the reggaeton player for more than a month.
It was in May that the artist decided to leave the networks and nothing was heard of him, until June 12 that Time magazine published an interview where Bad Bunny apologized for his silence.

At that time, the cruel murder of George Floyd by a Minneapolis police officer sparked a series of protests in the United States that fueled racial justice movements around the world.
The protests were joined by many celebrities who raised their voices and took to the streets, however, Bad Bunny was conspicuous by his absence on social media.

After what happened, finally, the 26-year-old artist broke the silence and spoke in support of the Black Lives Matter movement .
In a heartwarming statement titled "Forgive Me" posted on TIME , the singer asked his fans to apologize for not speaking earlier.
"Excuse my silence, but I can't even believe that this is still happening. Maybe it's because I always saw people's hearts and, at home, they always taught me that we are all the same regardless of race, religion and last name, that we are all brothers, sisters, "he said.
"I swear that I don't feel well, and I don't think I can express myself properly," added the artist in the lyrical statement.
