Coronavirus, weekly monitoring: Rt index above 1 in 5 regions. Reinforce the spacing

In new ascent the new ones infected by Covid : they are 276 in the last 24 hours (they had been 229 yesterday). Almost half (135) in Lombardy, 48.9%. There are 53 in Emilia Romagna and 23 in Lazio. The total number of people infected in Italy is 242,639. Four regions without new cases: Sicily, Valle d'Aosta, Molise and Basilicata . There were 12 dead, just like yesterday. Overall, the victims have thus become 34,938. These are the data provided by the Ministry of Health.

Covid patients in ICU drop to 65, 4 fewer than yesterday. I'm 27 in Lombardy. In 13 regions there are no patients in resuscitation. 844 (-27) hospitalized with symptoms, 12,519 people in home isolation (data unchanged). The currently positive are 13,428, down 31 units. The healed are instead 194,273, 295 more than yesterday. The swabs in the last 24 hours were 47,953, about 5 thousand less than yesterday. The cases tested are 3,520,377.

"Although the measures lockdown in Italy have allowed an effective control of infection by SARS-CoV-2 persists a widespread transmission of the virus that occur when favorable conditions, also causes outbreaks of significant size": thereports the weekly monitoring of the Ministry of Health and the Higher Institute of Health . "In almost all regions and autonomous provinces, new cases of infection were diagnosed in the monitoring week from 29 June to 5 July, with cases increasing compared to the previous monitoring week in some areas". "Overall, the general picture of the transmission and impact of SARS-CoV-2 infection in Italy remains low critical with a cumulative incidence in the last 14 days (period 22 / 6-5 / 7) of 4.3 per 100 000 inhabitants (slightly decreasing) ". "At the national level, there is a slight decrease in the number of new cases diagnosed and reported to the integrated surveillance system coordinated by the ISS compared to the previous monitoring week, with national Rt 1, although it exceeds it in its greater confidence interval". 

There are 5 Regions with an Rt index higher than 1. This is Emilia Romagna (1,2), which has the same value as Veneto. Tuscany follows with 1.12, Lazio with 1.07 and Piedmont with 1.06. Lombardy is at 0.92. 

In several different regions, the contagion index exceeded 1 due to "some outbreaks of more or less serious importance for the import of infections from abroad" : explained Gianni Rezza , director of prevention of the Ministry of Health, referring to the new monitoring data. "We need to strengthen the measures of social distancing knowing that the SNN knows how to identify and contain these outbreaks" concluded Rezza.
