The Ministry of Health reported this Friday that in Argentina in the last 24 hours there were another 54 deaths from coronavirus and that the total number of confirmed cases is on track to exceed the 100,000 barrier.
"3,367 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed today. With these records, they total 94,060 positives in the country," they indicated.
The most critical area continues to be the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area (AMBA). In this regard, the Secretary of Access to Health, Carla Vizzotti, noted that there are 662 people with coronavirus hospitalized in intensive care.
"The occupation of therapy beds for any reason at the national level is 52.4%, while in the AMBA that rate rises to 58%," Vizzotti explained.
Likewise, he assured that "there are no new areas of community transmission" and clarified that those who are most infected "are the young people who carry out activities, those who circulate the most, that is why it is at 35 years (the average age of infections)" , while that the average mortality is 75 years.
" In the number of cases we are experiencing an increase , these cases that we are seeing became infected 14 days ago, so this measure was taken to restrict mobility until July 17 where there is community transmission," explained the official.
And he added: "The decrease in this circulation will be seen in the cases of the next few days, hoping that the circulation of the virus will decrease, that is why we reiterate the advice to stay home and that only those who are authorized carry out activities."
