(ANSA) - TRIESTE, JUL 13 - Presidents Mattarella and Pahorhan laid a wreath of flowers at the Basovizza foiba, estimated that the Yugoslav partisans had thrown two thousand Italians between military and civilians. The event has a great historical value: Pahor is the first president of one of the countries born from the disintegration of the former Yugoslavia to commemorate the Italian victims of the sinkholes.
