Raymundo Capetillo dies from COVID-19 complications

Mexican actor Raymundo Capetillo died this Sunday at age 76, after a battle with COVID-19 after being hospitalized.


Mexican actor  Raymundo Capetillo  passed away after testing positive for coronavirus and being hospitalized a week ago. This was confirmed by the National Association of Actors on social networks, where they gave condolences to the Capetillo family.

"The Board of Directors and the Surveillance Committee of ANDI Mexico, communicate the sensitive death of the interpreter Raymundo Capetillo. Our deepest condolences to his family and friends," the account reported.

Since last July 4, it was announced that the actor had to enter a hospital in Mexico City, due to the complications he began having due to COVID-19, as reported by singer Ella Laboriel through social networks.

So far, some celebrities such as Laura Zapata and the driver Daniel Bisogno showed their heartfelt condolences on the death of the actor.

During a Mexican television program,  Tania Bárcenas , the actor's niece, assured that when he hospitalized his uncle, the actor did not have any organ complication, however, Capetillo was fighting pneumonia that was complicated by the disease.

"With a broken soul I receive the news that my beloved dear friend of all life @ RayCape1 has just left, he started his flight back to the Lord's House !!! QDEP I am going to miss you my friend," wrote actress Laura Zapata , who was a close friend of the famous and worked with him on various productions.

"I asked him when he was going out and he told me that Monday. He was healthy, he had no vices, he did not drink, he did not smoke, he took care of himself all the time," Zapata told the Mexican newspaper El Universal .

Throughout his career, Capetillo managed to win the affection of his Mexican public, who mourned his death on the networks. He was an economist and English teacher, however, in 1960 he began his career as an actor, which would make him a benchmark for Mexican television. In the same way, Raymundo ventured into cinema and theater.

Daniel Bisogno, host of "Ventaneando", also regretted the actor's departure on his behalf and on behalf of the production. "The entire Ventaneando team mourns the death of this great actor. Rest in Peace Raymundo Capetillo ”, he shared on Twitter.
