In the shadow of the eruption of the second wave of the Corona, fashion designer Sabina Musayev is launching the Summer 2020 collection. Musayev has two stores in Israel and an international online site. Until four months ago, the brand was a worldwide success, including in Australia, Canada, Europe, the United States.
Her collection has been marketed to many sites, chains and boutiques, including Intermix, Bloomingdale's, Revolve, Nuuly, Zappos. "Suddenly everything stopped. This is a very difficult period for the entire fashion industry, there is uncertainty, we do not know what a day child is and there is great concern," says Musayev. "Every day you get up in the morning and think about how to act and work in this situation both in the local market and abroad."
Is the demand for a brand abroad back?
“Our overseas businesses have been hit hard. Even in Israel, when we thought that we were returning to routine and the corona might already be behind us, suddenly the second wave came, we went back and it was not easy to run like that. We have adopted a policy where we cannot plan ahead for the long term. The two seasons ahead have already been hit hard, and we are looking for ways for the business to survive when the plague passes. It's a business I built with both hands with a lot of hard work and I try to be optimistic with high morale and hope it will be good. "
Her summer collection was inspired by the exotic paradise as depicted in Hawaiian folklore culture. "In mythology and urban legends in Hawaii, the beauty and power of wildlife and the glorification of the flora and fauna are described. I have created prints that at first glance give a familiar visual feel of traditional floral embroidery, but the closer you look at Inlay work and simulates a type of ethnic jewelry that is found among lost treasures at the bottom of the sea, "she says.
In some of the items in the collection, the inlay element repeats itself and creates the look of a jeweled and special garment. The colors in the collection range from bright and exotic shades to neutral shades of sand. The fabrics have received shine and sparkle treatments, and the result is rich and luxurious looks.
