The time for deconfinement has struck for Mont Blanc in June 2020. In shelters: mandatory masks. On the normal way: the freshly fallen snow complicates its access.
The legendary summit, which rises to 4,810 m, the conquest of which in 1786 marked the beginning of mountaineering was getting ready for almost winter conditions. Atypical weather for this start of the tourist season which does not encourage its ascent. It is indeed almost alone that we make the trace towards the summit in the fresh snow, led by Sébastien and Julien from the company of the Guides of Saint-Gervais. The climb is difficult but exceptional.
For once in our lives, we have Mont-Blanc alone. Discover the first episode of our series on Mont-Blanc.
