Sad development in the affair of the disappearance of the star of the series Gali. Her body, which is estimated to be the body of Naya Rivera who has been missing since last Wednesday, was found tonight (Monday) in the river where the search for Rivera is being carried out and where she has disappeared.

The search for Rivera

The footprints of Rivera, 33, best known for her role as Santana Lopez in the musical hit series "Waves," disappeared last Wednesday after she did not return from a boat trip with her young son on the Piro River in California. 

Her four-year-old son was discovered in the boat alone hours after the two were due to return from the trip, and told rescue workers that they went swimming but his mother did not return. There have been feverish searches for the actress since then, and now it seems that the tragic ending that everyone feared has indeed come true. 

A body has been found at Lake Piru this morning. The recovery is in progress. There will be a news conference at 2 pm at the lake

Notice from the local sheriff's office about finding the body in the Piro River

An official announcement is expected in the coming hours, but a tweet from the County Sheriff of Ventura California's official Twitter account confirmed that a body was found during the search, and that efforts are underway at this stage to rescue the body and bring it for identification and burial. A press conference at which an official announcement will be made on the subject will be held later in the day.
