The "Political School - Living in the Community" , the first "non-partisan, non-partisan, bipartisan and free initiative, promoted by the New Millennium Foundation chaired by Prof. Pellegrino Capaldo,  officially took off . It took place yesterday - reads in a note - the first seminar of the Political School, entitled "The process of change and evolution of the European Union", in the presence of the President Giuliano Amato , the supervisory board and the chosen teachers ".

Speaking during the work of the Political School, born in collaboration with the Lars Magnus Ericsson Foundation, Amato underlined "the importance of a precious project capable of supporting and enriching the skills and knowledge of the younger generations, not only in the political sphere but in cultural, historical, civic ".

The professor. Pellegrino Capaldo, economist, banker and consultant for many governments, said that "the initiative stems from the desire to offer talented young people an opportunity for cultural, political and civic training, focusing on competence and meritocracy. We want to invest in intellectual capital of the country system, helping young people to strengthen their knowledge ". The School, it is explained, "is made up of a high level teaching staff and a prestigious supervisory board which includes, among others, the representatives of Poste Italiane, Bank of Italy, ANSA (media partner of the School), Sace, Simest, SKY Italia, CDP, Google and Ferrovie dello Stato ".

The teaching model, developed over five major thematic areas, is based on both distance learning and classroom lessons for a total duration of six months starting from November 2020. There are 25 places available and it is possible to send your application through the call present on the website until 30 September 2020.

The participants will then be identified by a selection committee that will examine the school and professional curricula. The teaching provides not only theoretical lessons but also valuable opportunities for discussion, debate and dialogue, for example on the themes of work and digitization, thanks to the involvement of many top figures from private and participatory companies of the state. The lessons - finally - will be held on Friday afternoon from 15 to 18 and on Saturday morning from 10 to 13, both online and offline. The formula is that of alternating weekends, for a total duration of about 80 hours of lessons held by more than 30 different teachers. info@scuolapoliticanuovomillennio.it
