The gyms, restaurants and pools will be closed as part of the new guidelines - but there is still a way to enjoy them • This is how you can do it
One can enjoy without breaking the law
The government approved new restrictions last weekend, some of which will take effect as early as next Tuesday and some of which will only apply on weekends, subject to the approval of the Corona Committee in the Knesset. From the middle of the week, the restaurants will be closed - except for the collection itself, the gyms, and any gathering in a closed place of more than ten people, and of 2 people in an open place, will be banned. On weekends from Friday at 17:00 until Sunday at 05:00, the leisure and entertainment venues, beaches and pools will also be closed. The new restrictions apply everywhere, except in one place - in hotels.
Hotels are expected to receive permits to operate unlimited restaurants, gyms and pools beyond the purple mark restrictions that have been in place for several weeks. The restaurants that will be opened are not only the dining rooms in the hotel, but restaurants that belong to the hotel. Who can come and dine at those restaurants? In a conversation with the owners of restaurants, they explain that it depends on the entrance to the restaurant and the type of closure it will have, but in quite a few of them, non-hotel guests will also be able to come and dine at the same restaurants.
The hotel facilities that include the gyms and pools can be used mainly by hotel guests. In addition, it is possible to purchase daily packages for staying and using the hotel facilities in quite a few hotels around the country. Such packages will give the possibility to use the gyms and pools and we may see creativity on the part of the hotels in this regard.
The reasons why hotels have been granted permission to open and operate all those attractions and services are first and foremost the attempt to minimize the damage to the tourism industry, the industry that has been hit hardest by the crisis. The second reason for this is the over-strictness of the hotels. Most hotels take care of information, distribution of masks and hygiene kits, if a guest does not wear a mask, he is asked to do so and in general there is a very high level of cleanliness in most hotels in Israel.
It is important to note that quite a few of the restaurants and gyms have already announced that they will not close. They continue to look for creative solutions to avoid fines, but some have already announced that they are also willing to absorb fines and fight for opening permits as according to the data and their claim, infection rates in restaurants, pools and gyms are low.
