The Ministry of Health confirmed on Tuesday 53 new deaths from coronavirus in relation to the latest report, making 2,426 fatalities in the country.

The new deceased were 33 men; 10 in the province of Buenos Aires, 10 in the City and 13 in Jujuy; and 20 women; 5 who lived in the province of Buenos Aires, 4 in the City, and 11 in Jujuy.

Jujuy, which went more than three months without infections, is having the worst time since the start of the outbreak and reported 24 fatalities, more than the province of Buenos Aires and the City.

The virus case fatality rate remains at 1.8% while the overall mortality is 52 people per million inhabitants. In addition, it was specified that the average age of deceased persons is 75 years.

The general occupancy percentage of intensive care beds reached 65% in the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area, while in the whole country it is 55.6%.

So far 58,598 who carried the virus have recovered and have been discharged.
