Johnny Ortiz , actor in the famous series "Breaking Bad", faces charges of attempted murder, a crime for which he could spend more than 25 years in prison.
The 24-year-old actor, also known for his role in "El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie," was arrested and charged with attempted murder last May, according to the TMZ portal .
Reports assure that Ortiz was arrested along with another 18-year-old boy, named Armando Miguel Navarro . The portal said that after an investigation, the Los Angeles Police Department said they were both involved in an inter-gang shooting.

The publication points out that, although Ortiz was not the material author of the crime, he did accompany the murderer, for which he faces a charge of premeditated murder.
As reported by the portal, the legal documents to which they had access reveal that they both attempted to kill a man named Brian Duke, "for the benefit of, under the leadership and in association with a criminal street gang with the specific intention of assisting them. "
Navarro is accused of pulling the trigger, and while exactly what role Ortiz played in the crime is unclear, prosecutors believed he was justifying the attempted murder charge.

Ortiz, who played one of the cross country runners in the Disney movie based on a true story, "McFarland, USA," has been behind bars since the end of May.
The judge who took the case set a bond of US $ 1,120,000 for the actor, as announced by the portal, where it was also reported that Johnny's family insists on his innocence and is doing everything possible to collect the money from the bail through crowdfunding .
