Hours after the verdict was announced in Moshe Ivgi's trial, screenwriter and director Reshef Levy published a post, eventually calling on industry figures not to work with Ivgi anymore, along with describing the work alongside the actor, which seems from the post cruel and even impossible for behind-the-scenes women.

• "Ivgi's punishment - miserable and disgraceful"

Six months of community service, three months probation and payment of compensation in the amount of 10,000 NIS, this is the sentence of the actor Moshe Ivgi as he was sentenced today, after he was convicted in January of committing an indecent act. Against the actor and provoked a wave of angry reactions.

Hours after the verdict was announced today (Thursday), screenwriter and director Reshef Levy, who has worked with Ivgi on a number of successful projects in the past (including the series "The Switch" and the film "Hunting Elephants"), published a long post revealing his behind-the-scenes support for complainants and his request from Ivgi Just before the legal proceedings against him began.

• Who is the celeb who suffered the most in the corona test?

"In three projects I worked with Moshe Ivgi. The most famous of which is the 'The Switch' series. Half a year after we finished working I heard rumors about what Ivgi does on sets. I went and talked to a head producer and a good friend. She did not believe me I did not know. I told her he was next to me. "The most charming man in the world. Explain to me, I asked," Reshef opened the difficult post.

"She told me - 'Every morning when I came to the set he would jump on me, push my tongue into my mouth and I would push him and tell him to fly away from me retarded and beat him. And so he would continue every morning.' Then she told of a makeup artist who would cry every day And for the rule that was on the set, that Ivy was not left alone with a girl.

"She asked me the question that is always asked - try to imagine how you would feel if you did this to your daughter. I told her I was not there yet, that I first imagine how I would feel if he did this to me. Ivy every morning tongue in throat," Went on and then described the stage at which he decided to act.

"I told her - look we are friends, let's go and complain. I will come with you. She said - do you know what they will do to me in this process? Forget it. It will never fall. And I innocently said - evil always falls at the end. Since then dozens of women have told me the The same stories.

"Half a year later, an affair exploded in the media, regardless of me. After a while, the police called me and told me we wanted to come to you," Reshef added, describing the chain of events at length. "The police said they know I support the victims and no one is willing to cooperate. "They asked for my help. For several hours, the investigators and I sat together. I especially remember the conversation with A., who worked on the set. As soon as I started the conversation, she burst into tears and told me this man ruined my life."

Reshef went on to tell how the police assured him that his identity would be kept secret to protect him and how he opposed it. "When they left my house the police promised me on their own initiative that they would keep my help a secret. I asked why? They told me 'so you would not get hurt'. I told them I was not ashamed and whoever ever wanted to work with me should know I was not interested in working with rapists or people performing Obscene acts, or with people offering you to buy apartments in Dallas. In fact, it's even a matter of principle for me, these three things.

"Throughout the trial, whenever they called the media and asked me to speak, I said I think Ivy, like any defendant, has his moment in court. We have to wait and see what they decide.

"Today the sentence was announced. I am a romantic person - I am a big believer in love. I think we fall in love in all sorts of ways and in all sorts of ways. And people also have sex everywhere, even in the workplace, and it doesn't matter what weird laws are enacted against them. There is agreement between two adults all round.

"But I do not think there is a connection between sexual assault and love. It may be similar and a bit confusing but it is just not related matters. If every day you push a woman's tongue into her mouth or put a hand on her chest and she tells you 'stop' and cry, if you wait "Be alone and if you choose the trans girl who is the weakest on the set - you are not a lover, friend."

Towards the end of the post, Reshef shared his dilemmas regarding the affair and revealed the fact that he contacted Ivgi before the legal proceedings against him began and begged him to apologize and go for treatment. "Now the question arises as to what to do next. Ivgi is without a doubt the greatest actor to have been in Israeli cinema and television. It turned out that the works I wrote benefited from his huge talent perhaps more than anyone else. Will we give up his talent forever?

"Before the trial started I called Ivgi I told him: be a man, thank you for the guilt, apologize to the women, and go to treatment. He went to lawyers instead. Lawyers are people who work part time, so they talk very slowly to attract time, even now the lawyers Ivy's say they'll be undermined, don't blame them, they need to make a living.

"I think our work as artists is a gift - people, at least when there is no Corona, applaud us at the end of the evening. They give us love that no one really deserves. Certainly not for someone whose job is to memorize, or tell jokes. We have to admit every day "For our good fortune. But whoever kicks his luck is sometimes expelled from heaven."

At the end of the post, Reshef has already taken a more aggressive stance and even explicitly called for not working with Ivgi until he goes to treatment. "Moshe Ivgi must apologize because it is the moral thing to do. He must go to therapy so that he can learn to control himself. And until that happens, he does not think we should work with him in the world of culture.

"But on the other hand our world is dead and the government does not care so Ivy did not lose much," the director concluded the post.

As expected, the post received thousands of likes and hundreds of shares and comments, including from actress Millie Avital who wrote: "I have always loved you Reshef. And now even more. Thank you for being a real man. And thanks to Tali." Journalist Orit Navon added: "Amazing Reshef. How much decency and how much talent in one text. Only you can write about such a subject and spice it up with humor without it interfering, only adding. Respect."

Last January, as stated, Ivgi (66) was convicted in the Haifa Magistrate's Court of an indecent act and acquitted of two additional counts due to doubt. Ivy was charged with three counts of indecent acts and sexual harassment against three women. A fourth complainant refused to appear in court and was therefore not included in the indictment.
