RIAD, JUL 23 - Saudi Arabia's king, 84-year-old King Salman, has now successfully undergone surgery to remove the gallbladder, the royal court announced three days after his hospitalization. (HANDLE)


(ANSA-AFP) - RIAD, JULY 23 - The 84-year-old king of Saudi Arabia, King Salman, was successfully undergone surgery to remove the gallbladder today, he made it a royal court, three days after his admission in the hospital.
    It is rare for Saudi Arabia to report on the health of the brand, which has been the leading oil and oil exporter since 2015 and the largest economy in the Arab world.
    The king "underwent laparoscopic surgery to remove the gall bladder today ... at the specialized King Faisal hospital in Riad," the royal court said in a statement released by the official news agency (Spa).
    United States President Donald Trump was "reassured about the health" of the king during a telephone call with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who forwarded the spa.
    The monarch was hospitalized on Monday, "for some medical tests" due to the the inflammation of the gallbladder, the royal court had announced. A video released Tuesday by state media showed the ruler presiding over a virtual cabinet meeting from the hospital. (ANSA-AFP).
