The Ministry of Health of the Nation confirmed in the morning report this Friday 20 new fatalities due to coronavirus in Argentina with respect to the last report, bringing the death toll to 2,722.
The average age of the deceased is 75 years old and the case fatality rate is 1.8%, while the mortality rate is 59.5 people per million inhabitants.
According to official figures, in Argentina there are 148,027 confirmed cases of coronaviruses , of which 6,127 were registered this Thursday. Of the total, 0.7% are imported, 30.4% are close contacts of confirmed cases, 51.4% are cases of community circulation and the rest are under epidemiological investigation.
On the other hand, 913 people infected with Covid-19 are in intensive care , of which 87.5% correspond to units located in the City and Province of Buenos Aires.
The percentage of occupation of intensive care units nationwide, both for cases of coronavirus and other diseases, is 55.4%, while in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires it is 64%.
The number of recovered from Covid-19 is 65,447 , which represents 44.2% of the total confirmed cases. This Thursday there were 2,632 discharges.
Since the start of the pandemic, more than 360,000 coronavirus cases in Argentina were ruled out through laboratory tests, amounting to 609,262, which represents 13,426 tests per million inhabitants, with a positivity rate of 29.1%.
Globally, the number of infected already exceeds 15,000,000 cases, of which 247,225 were identified in the last 24 hours. The lethality of 4.1%.
In America there are 7,948.00 of infected by coronavirus, which represents 52.9%. The lethality is 4%.
