Albert Dupontel is back with the first images of Adieu les cons

Three years after his last feature film, the actor and director returns to theaters on October 21 with Virginie Efira and Nicolas Marié by his side.


Absurd cinema is finally back in theaters. Three years after Au Revoir Là-Haut , the director and actor Albert Dupontel presents the first images of his new feature film, Adieu les cons which will be released in theaters on October 21. In these small thirty seconds of trailer, we see Virginie Efira playing the character of Suze Trappet. In the tone of absurd comedy characteristic of the filmmaker, she learns that she is ill.

This is the starting point of the film which will then see this 43-year-old woman go in search of the child she was forced to abandon when she was 15. Her administrative quest will make her meet JB, fifty-year-old in full burn-out, and Mr. Blin, blind archivist of an impressive enthusiasm, interpreted respectively by Albert Dupontel and Nicolas Marié. Between the three of them, they embark on a quest as spectacular as it is improbable.

Albert Dupontel and Nicolas Marié are used to playing together. With Adieu les cons , this is their fourth collaboration after Locked Out , The Villain and 9 mois ferme . In any case, this is a first for Virginie Efira, the actress had already grazed the world of the absurd with A man at the height but never in this style so pronounced and even less with the filmmaker.
