Waiting for the release of the film for the direction of Manetti Bros, in which the King of Terror and his companion meet for the first time, the Astorina publishing house, presents Special Il grande Diabolik 2/2020 Io sono Eva, in all newsstands from April 25th. The special register is designed by Giuseppe Palumbo with Matteo Buffagni, written by Mario Gomboli and Tito Faraci based on a project by Andrea Artusi and Mirko Zilio, unveiling unpublished mysterious details of Diabolik's companion and accomplice. It was a void that had to be filled. And this very particular register did it.
The highly anticipated film, distributed by 01 Distribution, will be released in Italian theaters on December 31, 2020. Luca Marinelli gives the face to Diabolik, the charming Eva is played by Miriam Leone, while Valerio Mastandrea plays the role of Inspector Ginko. The cast also includes Alessandro Roia, Serena Rossi and Claudia Gerini. Diabolik is a Mompracem production with Rai Cinema, produced by Carlo Macchitella and Manetti bros, in association with Astorina, with the support of Emilia - Romagna Film Commission, Friuli Venezia Giulia Film Commission, Film Commission Vallee D'Aoste.
The film, a film adaptation of the adventures of the character created by Angela and Luciana Giussani, is written by Michelangelo La Neve and Manetti bros., Who signed the subject together with Mario Gomboli. The Manetti film opens in Clerville, 1960s. Diabolik, an unscrupulous thief whose true identity is unknown, has dealt another blow to the police, escaping with his black Jaguar E-type. In the meantime, there is great anticipation in the city for the arrival of Lady Kant, a charming heiress who will bring with her a famous pink diamond. The priceless jewel does not escape the attention of Diabolik who, in an attempt to steal it, remains enchanted by the irresistible charm of the woman. But then the thief's own life is in danger: the incorruptible and determined Inspector Ginko and his team have found a way to trap the criminal, and this time Diabolik will not be able to get out of it alone.
The film is freely inspired by the mythical third issue of the comic series, released on newsstands in 1963: one of the most memorable albums of the diabolika saga, in which it makes its first appearance what will become Diabolik's inseparable companion and accomplice, Eva Kant .
