“Divorce gave me the best body, I went from gorging myself on KFC to being a bikini model”

When Kirsten Aisbett signed the divorce, she weighed over 200 pounds , was heartbroken, and had low self-esteem. In addition to separation, she had been unable to fulfill her dream of having a baby and now she had to face her depression alone.

The difficult time she was going through and her unhealthy lifestyle led her to take refuge in fast food and antisocial behavior. In an exclusive interview with The Sun , he expressed how he lived after the divorce and why he decided to make a big change in his life.

“I stuffed myself with KFC for lunch and, too tired after working as a real estate agent, instead of cooking I warmed up frozen fries, chicken kievs, and lasagna. I had gotten used to feeling slow and tired, "she explained.

Kirsten was just 26 years old when she faced her marital failure , anxiety attacks, depression and low self-esteem that made her isolate herself from her friends and loved ones.

“Although my social anxiety was at its highest, the idea of ​​being alone was unbearable. The doctor diagnosed me with severe anxiety and depression and prescribed antidepressants… I took them to go to work, but I felt like a zombie, ”Aisbett shared.

His parents had avoided touching on the issue of being overweight, so as not to affect his self-esteem even more, however, his mother was courageous and very gently made him see that he had gained enough weight and that it was time to do something about it.

She started training three or four times a week in an all-girl bootcamp , gave up on fast food, returned to the kitchen to prepare healthy meals like rice, meat, and vegetables.

“The weight started to slide, I felt happier and healthier than in years. When my confidence returned, I started spending time with friends I hadn't seen. Old Kirsten is back, "he said.

Kirsten intensified her workouts with the help of a personal trainer, in a few months she had already lost almost 60 pounds!

On one of her days at the gym, she was looking at the photos of the girls who had competed in bodybuilding and thought she could never do it, but her coach convinced her to sign up for the competition that would take place in 20 weeks - and she did!

“I had 20 weeks to perfect my physique. Eliminating alcohol entirely, I carefully prepared all my meals over the weekend, so I would never look for junk food. At 4:30 in the morning every day I did 45 minutes of cardio before work ... By the day of the show, in September 2019, I had lost another 28 pounds, making a total of 88. With 120 pounds I could slip comfortably into a size 8! "said the model to the Sun .

On the day of the competition Kirsten thought that she had already achieved her goal by just showing up, posing in a bikini and seeing her parents proud, but the biggest surprise was yet to come ...

“While waiting for the winners to be announced, I was proud to have competed. I thought 'I'm not going to place' ... I heard how they announced third and second place. When the winner was announced, I clapped wildly, 'My God, it's me!' ”He said.

With her experience, Kirsten wishes she could inspire other people to lead a healthy lifestyle, improve their appearance and also their self-esteem.
