A total of 556 passengers were tested this Saturday in Paris airports, on the first day of the entry into force of the health control of travelers from the 16 countries with high circulation of the coronavirus, indicates the Ministry of the Interior.

Since Saturday morning, passengers arriving by plane and over the age of 11 from these “at risk” states must present on their arrival “proof of the result of a biological virological screening test carried out less than 72 hours before theft, not finding contamination by Covid-19 ”.

If the passenger does not have this document, he is invited to be tested in an area set up in the airport. Once the test is carried out, he must leave his personal details and can continue his trip, in France or in transit, explains the Ministry of the Interior in a press release. Passengers are recontacted by the health authorities in the event of a positive result and then enter into “Contact tracing” monitoring.

Three people refused to be tested

On the first day of the device, 2,671 passengers arrived at Roissy and Orly from countries on the list. Of these, 556 had to be tested. The device in Paris airports notably mobilized 80 border police, five criminal research technicians from the gendarmerie, 50 personnel from the AP-HP and ARS Ile-de-France and nine firefighters.
