REGGIO CALABRIA - From Tuesday 4 August visitors to the National Archaeological Museum of Reggio Calabria will be able to return to admire all the "treasures" of the rich archaeological museum heritage displayed on four levels.
    "Given the success of participation and organization in the name of the happy combination of culture and health, with the first phase of reopening of the Museum to the public on an experimental basis on 26 June - it is written in a note - the director Carmelo Malacrino has decided to move on to the second phase of the fruition service in the state of national health emergency, opening to visits also levels A and B of the permanent exhibition path, which house the prehistoric and protohistoric collections, as well as the rich sections dedicated to the cities and shrines of Calabria Greek ".
    "The MArRC - affirms Malacrino - has an important mission, of cultural promotion of the territory and historical memory of Magna Grecia. In a journey on four exhibition levels it tells the fascinating history of ancient Calabria, concluding with the magnificent room of the Bronzes of Riace and Porticello. The results of this first month of reopening are more than positive in terms of not only attendance, but also the attention of visitors to compliance with the safety rules, drawn up in a detailed anti-Covid protocol. Together with all the staff I wanted to give a further signal for the recovery of the territory with the extraordinary opening on the days of Monday in August with a greater influx of tourists ".
    In compliance with the prevention and health safety rules, the MArRC will also be open to the public on Monday 10, 17 and 24 of August. Visits are limited to groups of 10 people maximum, in entry shifts every 15 minutes.
