A black NHS employee, British Public Health, was hit by a car and was seriously injured in Bristol on Wednesday, in what police believe is a racially motivated attack. The Mirror reports it online. The fact was made known by a post on social media by a friend of the young man who published a photo of the victim with a disfigured face.
The 19-year-old man finished his shift at Southmead hospital shortly after 4pm when he was hit by a car with two people on board who insulted him after the impact and fled on foot. According to what was said in the post, there were at least fifteen people on the site.
Bristol was at the center of the British protests of the Black Lives Matter movement in June.
