29 new deaths linked to Covid-19 have been recorded in hospital in the past 24 hours in France, according to data communicated by the Directorate General of Health on Monday.
She said the coronavirus has killed a total of 30,294 people in the country since March 1. Among these deaths, 19,779 occurred in hospitals. The death toll in social and medico-social establishments will not be updated until next Tuesday. The most recent figures, given on July 28, showed 10,515 dead.
The DGS also reveals that 5,198 people are still hospitalized after being infected with SARS-CoV-2 and that 142 new admissions have taken place in 24 hours. Among the patients treated, 384 of the most serious cases are in the intensive care units. The balance becomes slightly negative again in these services reserved for the most serious cases, with thirteen more patients compared to last Friday, due to 29 new admissions.
