Although international tourism does not exist at the moment, there are those who are already preparing for the day after. In Italy, they decided to revive their tourism campaign to the Israeli public who arrived in the boot country en masse before the Corona period.

The Italian Tourist Board has launched a comprehensive campaign that includes photos and videos of Israelis' favorite destinations in Italy under the tag WE MISS YOU ITALY. The decision to launch the campaign comes when Italy is in excellent shape in terms of the number of infected and a few days after Professor Itamar Grotto confirmed that Israelis returning from green countries will not have to go into isolation. Italy is waiting for an improvement in the situation in Israel and hopes to see Israeli tourists return soon.

In 2019, about a quarter of a million Israelis arrived in Italy, with the most popular destinations being Rome, Milan, Naples, Venice and Tuscany. The number of overnight stays by Israelis in the country was about 950,000 and they brought 110 million euros into the Italian economy.

Another target for the Israeli tourist is Japan. The Land of the Rising Sun is still completely closed and does not allow tourists to enter, but has hired an Israeli representation company in order to increase Japan's awareness as a tourist destination for diverse audiences. In 2019, 44,000 Israelis visited Japan and are also waiting there for the situation in Israel to improve alongside the construction of a plan that will allow the tourism industry in the country to come back to life. In Japan, too, the morbidity rate is among the lowest in the world relative to the population.

At the same time, the American airline Delta has announced that it will increase the frequency of flights on the New York-Tel Aviv route for a daily flight, thus operating 7 flights a week. Currently Israelis can enter New York without restriction or the need to present corona tests, there is no need for isolation in New York for those coming from Israel. The airline also announced that they will continue with the empty seat policy and in all three seats, they will leave a middle seat empty in order to maintain as much social distance as possible between the passengers. Delta is the only airline operating in this way on the New York-Tel Aviv route.
