Singer, actor and cultural anchor Gidi Gov is celebrating his 70th birthday today (Tuesday), and on the occasion of the exciting event, the IDF Archives at the Ministry of Defense is publishing selected photos from the military service of this living legend.
One of them shows a beehive band, of which Gidi Gov was a member, appearing in front of soldiers during the Yom Kippur War in 1973. In several other photos, from 1972, Gov is seen with some of his friends in the Nahal band in which he performed his military service, with other familiar names Like Yardena Arazi and Ephraim Shamir.
