He followed Anelka for seven years with his camera. Franck Nataf is the director of the documentary dedicated to the former Blues striker who was banned from the French football team following the Knysna scandal during the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
His objective through this film, broadcast on Netflix from Wednesday August 5, was to reveal who was behind the footballer with the sulphurous image. "I wanted to show who he was, because it has nothing to do with the image that is portrayed in the press," says the photographer who worked with Le Parisien and L'Equipe and who knew Nicolas Anelka when he was 16 years old.
“These seven years of filming have been an exceptional moment, and I think this film will amaze a lot of people,” assures the director.
