In the past 24 hours, seven new deaths linked to Covid-19 have been recorded in the hospital, according to data communicated by the Directorate General of Health (DGS) on Thursday.

In total, the coronavirus has killed 30,312 people in the country. Among these deaths, 19,806 occurred in hospitals.

The figures for social and medico-social establishments will not be updated until August 11. The latest report, drawn up on Tuesday, reported 10,506 dead.

5060 hospitalized patients

The DGS also indicates that 5,060 people are still hospitalized after being infected with SARS-CoV-2 and that 141 new admissions have taken place in 24 hours.

Among the patients treated, 390 of the most serious cases are in the intensive care units. That's six more than Wednesday. 21 people have been admitted to intensive care in the past 24 hours.

The country had 14 new outbreaks of clustered cases on Thursday, but 489 clusters have been closed, and 1,604 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in the last 24 hours.
