The fires and smoke are far from being a finished problem in the Delta of the Parana . For this reason, different specialized groups work piece by piece to fight the flames.
A video of the Ministry of Defense of the Nation shows the task of the brigade members of the Argentine Navy in the midst of fire, ashes and burned trees, with the support of helicopters and hydrant aircraft.
Masked, in protective suits, raking ashes and even with chainsaws: this is how those who fight day after day against the destructive sources of fire that have plagued the island area for almost a week are seen.
The Defense Ministry confirmed the arrival of the patrol vessel ARA King to support the hard work of the brigadistas on Entre Ríos soil .
The ship departed from Zárate with the objective of providing food, sanitary supplies and accommodation, as well as boats for transfers of personnel from federal forces and the Province of Santa Fe.
The serious fires in the islands of the Paraná not only leave consequences in the environment, but also in the inhabitants of the affected area, since in the last week more than 350 people were treated for respiratory conditions due to the effects that the smoke causes in Rosario.
"We were surprised by the number, we are in 50 daily consultations," said the General Coordinator of the Welfare Area of the National University of Rosario (UNR) , Ricardo Nidd, who began to attend a week ago.
