Coronavirus infections in Italy are falling. In the last 24 hours, according to data from the Ministry of Health, 347 new cases have been registered, 205 less than yesterday's increase, which brings the total to 250,103. On the other hand, the number of victims is increasing: 13 in one day compared to 3 registered on Friday. Overall, there are 35,203 victims since the beginning of the epidemic.

The number of currently positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours has increased slightly: according to data from the Ministry of Health, the current patients are 12,953, compared to yesterday 29 more. The number of intensive care units with 43 patients remains stable, only one more than yesterday. There are 12,139 people in home isolation, compared to 36 more on Friday, while there are 8 fewer patients admitted to other hospital wards: from 779 yesterday to 771 today. New cases have been reported in all regions. Of all the regions, only in Sardinia and Molise there were no new cases. The greatest increases in infections in the last 24 hours occurred in Lombardy (76), Veneto (63), Emilia Romagna (44), Piedmont (31) and Sicily (28). The people, between discharged and healed, are 201,947 (+305). The swabs made in the last day are 53,298, about six thousand less than yesterday.

Emilia Romagna is therefore on the podium of the Regions with the highest number of infections. And there is controversy over the outbreaks caused by children returning from holidays.

For this reason, the port of Ancona is also ready to apply an anti Covid 'filter' - with temperature measurement and health checks as is already the case for departing passengers - for all passengers from Croatia and Greece. This was underlined by the secretary general of the Ancona Port System Authority Matteo Paroli in the event that provisions from the government in this sense arrive. The Ancona airport, explains Paroli, already implements the national provisions and, through a protocol, has integrated them with checks for departures even before accessing the ticket office for check-in: temperature measurement, passage passable only with a mask and containment in premises separated in the event of Covid symptoms or temperatures over 37.5 °, which would trigger the health protocol with 118. The temperature measurement for those leaving is also carried out by the ship's personnel before boarding. For incoming passengers, in addition to temperature controls in the ports of departure and boarding the ship, the activation of the maritime health office and then of the health protocol in case of reporting from the ship of people with Covid symptoms is foreseen. 19. In the absence of communications to this effect, arriving passengers leave the ship freely by their own means. At the moment, Paroli recalls, the port authorities cannot intervene in a more restrictive manner than national procedures: "it is only possible to make them more streamlined and punctual". "For homogeneity - he explains - we adhere to national procedures, improving them in the terms in which it is possible. At the moment there are no communications from Rome of new measures planned. Obviously we are with 'straight antennas' - he reports - and if this happens, we we conform instantly: the 'hardware' structure is ready, we already use it. Should there be any need of an international nature, for indications at a central level, we will comply immediately ".

Eight Franciscan friars tested positive for the coronavirus, in Assisi. This is what is reported in the online magazine San Francesco. They are all novices, present in the structure adjacent to the Basilica of San Francesco. All the activities of the Sacred Convent continue. This is specified by the director of the Press Room of the Sacred Convent, Father Enzo Fortunato. "The young people are in solitary confinement and all the necessary health procedures have been applied and taken", added Father Fortunato. "The young novices with positive results, coming from different parts of the world, entered the novitiate only five days ago and had no contact with the community and pilgrims", the religious added. "The activities and community life will continue normally in compliance with the provisions set by law and the ministry of health", concluded the director of the press office.
