Thursday, 06 August 2020, 08:56After too much time at home, summer has arrived and we all of course want to breathe good air and spend some time outside, with the whole family, in the right atmosphere for the great freedom. So if you too feel like enjoying the open air, here is the perfect opportunity for fun that is suitable for all ages: Keren Kayemet Israel celebrates 120 years of activity this summer and offers a wide range of activities, suitable for families or couples. Everything of course is done under the purple character guidelines and you can easily find something that everyone in the family will love and connect with and everything, for free or with a token fee only. So that you do not accidentally miss something so great, we have collected for you all the events for the coming week. Have fun!

The interactive visitor center in Ilanot Forest will host an experiential happening for the whole family, with sessions, workshops, performances, tours, educational activities and exposure of KKL-JNF sites. The place is air-conditioned and the happening is suitable for the whole family. From 18:00 to 20:00,
in the Blue Valley Park Forest in the north, free tours will be launched in two rounds, from 10:00 to 12:00 and again from 12:30 to 14:30. The tours will take you to the magical corners of the forest. And all accompanied by a close guide of the JNF. Most of the corners have water points and the trips are made on an easy and popular route and are suitable for the whole family. A free tour of the site will be conducted at
Tel Azka , under the guidance of Prof. Oded Lifshitz. Alongside the tour there will also be a fun happening. The tour will take place in the afternoon and during it you will get to know the wonderful finds at the site and enjoy a view of the Ella Valley, where the famous battle between David and Goliath took place about 3,000 years ago. Participation is conditional on pre-registration at Kav Li'ar, 1-800-350-550 or on the website.
12.8 - Wednesday
For health in the Birya Forest in the north, there will be two free tours, with a guide and an easy and pleasant route to walk. The first tour will depart at 10:00 and the second at 12:30. Each tour lasts about two hours.

A day later, at the exact same hours (10:00 and 12:30), you can enjoy a pleasant and family tour of Birya Fortress , including a walk to Naburia, the spring and the ancient synagogue.
At 19:00 on the same day, experiential family trips will be lit by lantern light in a number of different centers around the country. The departure will be at dusk, with the sunset and the hike will end in darkness descending on the forest. During the trip, go to the forest paths and learn about the night life in them, hear legends and tall tales to entertain and discover the forest and the actions of the JNF development and fire prevention. The tours are suitable for children aged 5 and older and parents and each family will receive a lantern one.
The tours will be held in the woods Ahihud (North ), Shoham Community Forest and Ilanot Forest (Central) and Malachim Forest (South) . Each tour is conditional on pre-registration at the "Forest Line" by calling 1-800-350-550 or on the website.
