Already from the early hours of this morning there were in fact queues exiting the large urban centers with the formation of strong slowdowns and queues along the main motorway routes, with travel times that, in some cases, were twice as long as the conditions ordinary. Queues at times are still recorded along the A1 between Bologna and Florence and between Rome and Valmontone and in the Caserta area, along the A12 between Collesalvetti and the connection with the SS 1, in the A14 between Faenza and Pesaro, between Civitanova Marche and Giulianova , Pescara Nord and Ortona, Cerignola east and Andria.
In A15, between Aulla and the connection with the A12. On the A22, heading south, between Bolzano north and Trento south, Ala Avio and Affi and between Nogarole Rocca and Trento north heading north. To facilitate travel, the limitation to the circulation of commercial vehicles with a total mass with full load exceeding 7.5t, from 08.00 to 22.00, is active for national transport. For tomorrow, Sunday 9 August, the limitation to traffic for heavy vehicles for national transport will be from 07.00 to 22.00.
Along the network managed by Anas, there are slowdowns and queues on the A2 at the exit of Villa S. Giovanni in approach to the embarkation area for Sicily, with waiting times estimated at 3 hours.
There are also slowdowns along the SS 20 near the Tent Tunnel in both directions, along the SS 51 of Alemagna in the section between the exit from the A27 at Pian di Vedoia and Longarone, along the SS 12 of Abetone, the SS 47 della Valsugana to the north, the SS 434 Transpolesana, the SS 1 Aurelia in the Lazio and Tuscan stretches.

As for the weather for this second Saturday in August , according to the calculations of the Civil Protection Department, sunny weather is expected in the center-north, with some afternoon thunderstorms in the Apennine sectors of Lazio, Abruzzo and Molise. In the south unstable weather with showers and thunderstorms and possible intense phenomena until the afternoon, especially in Calabria and northern Sicily.
