French President Emmanuel Macron said this when he opened the international conference of donors he wanted to help Beirut after the devastating explosion on 4 August. "Chaos doesn't have to win," Macron said. "Today's goal is to act quickly and effectively to coordinate our aid so that it reaches the Lebanese people", said the French president, appealing to the Lebanese authorities to ensure that the country "does not sink" and " respond to the demands of the population who peacefully demonstrate in the streets of Beirut ". Opening the donors' conference to raise funds for Lebanon, Macron urged everyone to avoid "violence and chaos from prevailing". (ANSA-AFP).
