(ANSA) - PARIS, AUGUST 09 - Lebanon will need 117 million dollars in the next three months to respond to the crisis generated by the devastating explosion in Beirut on August 4. This was established by the UN in a draft of the Emergency Response Framework '(Efr). In particular, 66.3 million dollars will be immediately needed to donate to health facilities that have taken in the injured, to emergency shelters for those left homeless, to organizations that deal with the distribution of food and to those that manage the prevention and further spread of Covid. -19.
In phase 2, explains the UN document, 50.6 million dollars will have to be allocated to rebuild public infrastructures but also houses and to prevent the spread of diseases. According to the United Nations, at least 15 healthcare facilities, including three large hospitals, were seriously damaged in the blast and more than 120 schools could close, depriving some 55,000 children of lessons.
