The list of green countries is expected to be longer than expected and will not include a few individual countries as originally planned, Israel Today has learned.

The Foreign Ministry is expected to publish tomorrow (Monday) the list of green countries that Israelis returning from will be able to enter the country without the need for isolation.

At first there were a few individual countries, but the Ministry of Foreign Affairs mapped almost all the countries in the world and set orderly criteria according to which it is estimated that several dozen countries will enter the list whose returnees can enter the country without the need for isolation.

Among the green countries that are expected to enter the list will be Japan, South Korea, Germany, Denmark and other countries. The one that will most likely remain on the list of red countries at this point is the United States, one of the most popular destinations among Israeli tourists.

The news at this stage concerns mainly those with dual passports or those who will receive special permits. Later, when the morbidity situation in the country improves and Israel is considered a green country, the news will be significant for all Israelis. At the moment, it seems that the countries that Israelis will also be able to enter and vacation in, after presenting negative corona tests, will be Croatia, Montenegro, Rwanda and Bulgaria.

Many countries do not allow tourists in at all and not just Israelis. Most Asian countries are closed so the list will be really relevant only after they are opened. We will know the countries they will agree to in the coming weeks, when countries such as Japan, Korea and Thailand are currently formulating a plan to revive the tourism industry. Under the current situation, Israel will probably not be on the list of countries whose citizens will be allowed to enter and vacation in the same destinations.
