Isaiah Friedlander, the father of restaurateur Ruthie Brodo, has passed away, the reality judge updated her 30,000 followers in a short Instagram video she uploaded last Friday.
"My father who went on his way," Brodo wrote of the short video she uploaded in which she is seen sitting next to her father and holding his hand.
The video received more than 25,000 views and hundreds of comforting comments from surfers and industry friends, including Ofira Asaig, who wrote: "Beloved Ruthie, you will never know grief again," and Rotem Abohav, who wrote: "Participates in your grief."
Brodo (59) is a restaurateur, businesswoman and reality judge and along with her ex-husband Matti Brodo is the owner of the Coffee Bar group.
She was born in Netanya to Isaiah, a diamond worker, and Judith, a housewife, both Holocaust survivors. Brodo was very close to her father who has suffered from Alzheimer's for the past 20 years, and said in an interview with Israel today in June this year that seven years ago she moved her parents from Netanya to Neve Tzedek and she makes sure to meet with them at least once a week.
