The Ministry of Health of the Nation confirmed in the morning report on Monday 28 new fatalities from coronavirus in Argentina compared to the last report, so the death toll rises to 4,634.
Of the new deaths, 20 were men: 14 residents in the province of Buenos Aires, four in the City of Buenos Aires (CABA), one in Mendoza and one in Rio Negro. Eight women also died: six who lived in the province of Buenos Aires, one in Mendoza and one in Santa Fé.
The average age of the deceased is 73 years old and the fatality rate is 1.9%, while the mortality rate is 102 people per million inhabitants.
According to official figures, in Argentina there are 2 46,449 confirmed cases of Covid-19 , of which 4,688 were registered this Sunday. Of the total of these cases, 1,131 (0.5%) are imported, 65,737 (26.7%) are close contacts of confirmed cases, 139,746 (56.7%) are cases of community circulation and the rest are under epidemiological investigation .
On the other hand, 1,565 people infected with coronavirus are in intensive care care , of which x% corresponds to units located in the City and Province of Buenos Aires.
The percentage of occupation of intensive care units nationwide, both due to cases of coronavirus and other diseases, is 56.8%, while in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires it rises to 66.6%.
The number of recovered from Covid-19 is 174,974, which represents 70.98% of the total confirmed cases. This Sunday there were 4,865 highs.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, more than 483,051 cases of coronavirus have been discarded in Argentina through laboratory tests, which amount to 856,055, which represents 18,865 tests per million inhabitants, with a percentage of positivity of 33.83%.
Worldwide, the number of infected already exceeds 19,462,000 cases, of which 273,00 were identified in the last 24 hours. There are more than 731,000 fatalities and the fatality of 3.7%.
In America there are 10,447,000 infected by coronavirus, which represents 53.7%. Argentina groups 2.3% of all continental cases, Brazil, 28.4%, and the United States, 46.9%. The fatality is 3.7%.
