Alberto Bauli died today in Verona. The engineer Bauli would have turned 80 on 5 September and for over 25 years he was president of the confectionery group founded in 1922 by his father Ruggero, now based in Castel d'Azzano (Verona) and now the Italian leader in the production of pandoro and sweets from recurrence.
Under his leadership, the company acquired the Treviso biscuit factory Doria in 2006, in 2009 it took over from Nestè the oven products marketed under the Motta and Alemagna brands at the San Martino Buon Albergo (Verona) site and in 2013 the Bistefani di Casale. Monferrato (Alessandria).
Alberto Bauli was also a director of Banco Popolare for some years, holding the office of president of Banca Popolare di Verona.
